About The Auracle
Vision Statement
Aura portraits are a unique opportunity to capture your energy on film. The Auracle is intended to be a source of knowledge about the individual in the portrait but also about the world around them. We provide a visual approach to exploring personal strengths and increasing self awareness about energetic patterns. Our color interpretations integrate color psychology, holistic practices, sociological theories, and cultural beliefs. The Auracle does not endorse (or dismiss) any specific spirituality or religious tradition; we are intentional in how we engage with information so that we do not appropriate any cultural practices.
About Us
We have been practicing aura photography since 2021 but did not have our first public event until 2024. Since then, Cleveland has given us the warmest reception, and we have been invited to the most amazing places. We are (currently) a mobile service which allows us to pop-up at a variety of events and collaborate with other local businesses. We are so lucky to be invited to wellness spaces, entertainment venues, and community festivals because aura photography is a great way to commemorate so many occasions.
The Auracle does accept requests for private events, which are accepted based on scheduling availability and location but we are open to traveling outside of Northeast Ohio.
What is Aura Photography?
Aura photography is an amazing combination of art and science that provides an opportunity to discover more about yourself and your energy in a tangible way. Our specialized camera has hand sensors to capture your biofeedback and the camera correlates that data (your vibrations) with colors on the visible spectrum. This film photo is a visual representation of your personal strengths, emotional state, and energetic focus that can give insight about different aspects of wellness.
What Do The
Colors Mean?
Each color is linked to a different chakra (or energy center) in the body that has its own function in terms of how it receives, processes, and releases energy. These chakras vibrate at a specific frequency that correlates to the different colors as well as different layers of your aura. One way to think about it is in terms of music- just like each musical note corresponds to a specific sound wave, each color corresponds to a specific energy wave that you are emitting. The placement of the colors in the photo also gives us more information about whether the energy has already been expressed or is still being cultivated.

It’s totally up to you. We suggest doing whatever feels most comfortable to you in that moment/whatever will make it a picture you WANT to look at. Smile or no smile, eyes open or closed- your energy will always come through.
-
Whatever makes you comfortable and like your best self while keeping in mind:
it is easier to see the vibrancy of your auras colors when wearing dark fabrics.
we recommend avoiding excessively shiny or shimmery fabrics (think lots of sequins) as it can cause an occasional glare
-
Yes, it’s totally safe to take an aura photo at any stage of pregnancy. We use hand sensors but they are similar to a thermometer in that they are only assessing your vibrational frequency.
-
You are seated for about 10-15 seconds while the camera takes your photo. Once the film comes out, it takes 2-3 minutes to start developing and the colors will continue to deepen over the next hour. Appointments are typically schedule for 10-15 minute increments and include a personalized color interpretation.
-
Yes, depending on their age though we might recommend they take a duo photo with an adult or older child. Due to the hand plates, we find that most children under the age of 7 or 8 are not able to cover enough of the sensor to provide accurate data. We usually suggest anyone under that age range sit with someone else during their photo.

No, unfortunately we do not have equipment designed to fit animal paws.
-
Yes and no. Most people have an overall color baseline, also known as an energetic signature, but auras shift and change because humans change. Some people are more prone to color shifts due to current life timing or circumstances while others have very limited variability between photos.
-
Everyone has an aura and yours will show on film. It will not be colorless or dark. every color represents a type of energy and each has a function- like creativity or communication- which means one isn’t better than another. Besides there are no “bad” auras! We promise.

The color system in aura photography is based on the chakras which is a concept from the Hindu religious tradition but aura photography is not a religious practice. The personal color interpretation uses the chakra as a framework but also incorporates:
aspects of color psychology
sociological theories of development
cultural practices around healing
self-reflection about personality strengths
There are different aspects of spirituality that can be touched on when exploring your energy as it relates to your understanding of self, others, and the universe. Many of the concepts that come up are considered more “universal” across belief systems, even if they are known by different names. (the golden rule, karma, walking the good road)
One of the commonalities that people find through aura photography is the idea that who we are, as humans, exists outside our physical body. Our identity is not just a collection of our physical qualities- there is a life force energy within all of us.
“The energy model of medicine is meant to reach beyond merely the physical aspect of our being. Originally, the chakras were utilized as focal points for meditation with the intention of stimulating divine energies in different points in the subtle body. This system of health offers potential for healing on the physical, mental, AND spiritual levels.” Kelly McClellan
